Part 3: Approximate Linear Feet (to the closest inch)

Linear feet is just the total length of wall (or floor space) your cabinetry will run along, measured in a straight line, regardless of height or depth.

To estimate it: measure the length of each run of cabinets in feet, then add them together. For a kitchen, that usually means measuring along the base where the cabinets meet the wall. If you have an upper and lower run along the same wall, count it once and we'll account for both in the design.

For example, a 10-foot wall of cabinets plus a 6-foot island comes to roughly 16 linear feet. Don't worry about being exact, a close estimate is all we need to get started, and we'll confirm precise measurements later.
